GoldenEye 007

The remaster of GoldenEye 007 in 2008, which reportedly needed only two more months of development before it was finished, was cancelled because Nintendo and Microsoft, which acquired Rare in 2002, were unable to come to a licensing agreement. In January 2021, a full playthrough was streamed to YouTube, showcasing improved graphics and 60 frame-per-second gameplay. A week later, a near-final playable ROM image of the XBLA title was leaked online from an unknown source, validated by video game historians and journalists to be the XBLA title.
