Who we are
RetroPrice is an independent retro video game price guide operated from Norway. We are the data controller for personal data processed through this website. You can reach us any time at retrogamechart@hotmail.com.
Data we collect
- Account data — if you create an account we store your email address, username, optional bio and avatar, and your saved game collection.
- Subscription data — if you subscribe to RetroPrice Pro, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your payment details. We never see or store your card number.
- Usage data — aggregated, privacy-friendly analytics such as page views, referrer, device type and country. This is not used to identify you personally.
- Technical data — IP address, browser and operating system, collected in server logs for security and abuse prevention.
How we use your data
- To provide the price guide, collection tracking, leaderboard and deal finder features.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To process subscriptions and prevent fraud.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
- To display advertising that keeps the site free.

We process data under the following legal bases: performance of a contract (accounts and subscriptions), legitimate interests (site security, aggregate analytics, fraud prevention) and consent (advertising and analytics cookies where consent is required).

- Supabase — database, authentication and storage.
- Google AdSense — advertising.
- Stripe — payment processing for RetroPrice Pro.
- Hosting and CDN providers — site delivery and security.
Data retention
Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. Delete your account and we remove your profile and collection data. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes. Billing records are retained as required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Contact retrogamechart@hotmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. EEA users may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
Children
RetroPrice is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA) and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date.
