The Houchi Play

The Houchi Play is a 2D title based on the popular real-life children's game Statues. The aim of the game is to get the character Taro Heibon close to cosplay girls without having the girls notice him. The player has to wait until the girl faces away and then quickly alternate between pressing the two trigger buttons quickly to move towards her. As soon as she faces Taro again, all movement must stop. On the way, he will pass some alcoholic beverages which are drunk by solving a quicktime event. Doing this fast and successful, improves Taro's movement speed. After all stages are passed, the girls can be viewed in a gallery. During the standard challenge mode, Taro gains experience points based on the difficulty of the level. Reaching a level up improves his cuteness (more time before the girl turns around), quickness (maximal movement speed), stamina (how fast the momentum decreases) and drinking (difficulty of the quicktime events). Some girls have special behaviour traits, e.g. they sometimes close their eyes or do not announce when they turn back towards Taro. In free play, the player can choose unlocked girls and costumes freely.
