The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest
The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest for the PS3 tells the story of Aragorn during the War of the Ring. Samwise Gamgee is narrating, and recalls the story to entertain his children who want to hear about the adventures of Aragorn. The game differs in several ways from the PS2 and handheld versions - the biggest being the behind view perspective, as opposed to the birds eye of the PS2 version, and the 'between the main story sections' gameplay in the Shire. In game, the player takes control of Aragorn and fights off Sauron's servants. These include orcs, trolls and other enemies. Attacks include sword and bow moves. With your shield, attacks can be blocked. When playing as Sam's son in the Shire, you fulfill several main and side quests. This mainly serves as a tutorial for practicing the different attacks and moves. A second player can join the adventure as Gandalf or Sam's daughter Elanor.
